I plan on having 1 vortech and a koralia 4. Here are some pix. I am not sure how I am going to get behind the rocks and under the rocks but I will think about it.

kinda swiped it from another of my own ideas to make a table top. just put down some ugly wood then put a layer of fabric then glass on top change as wanted. same idea different object.
or if you can really see and want something crazy get a blown up pic of something you like and have it lamenated.

how are you gonna get all the sand from underneath the rocks? and not sure how your aquascape is, but doesnt sand keep the rocks stable?

All of my support rocks are flat on the bottom so it will be fine. You add sand after the rocks are setup so it does not really support them. I take one rock out at a time and siphon under it then put it back. It just takes time.

I did it the other way sand first then rocks..so I guess my rocks are supported by my sand..its whatever floats your boat..

I did it that way to cause I set this tank up when I was a total noob. You want to add rocks first so snails and stuff cant get under the rocks by going into the sand and under then pushing up on the rocks cause they could knock them over.

i dont know what size tank you have, 75? but i have the same one. friends told me that rocks wont crack the bottom but just be careful about it. one thing you can do is go to lowe's and buy fiberglass rods and cut them, drill holes in them and stack them like that
youll like it a lot better without sand, since you wont have to worry about the flow. youll probably even want to add more of it to keep detritus suspended so it can be caught in a filter sock, or at least push it so itll collect in one corner and you can siphon it out
