When acclimating the fish , how do I replace all the water that I just drained into the bucket after 2 hours?
That's quite a bit of water.
How do you replace that amount so quickly?
Thanks for the help!

Personally I leave them in a bag, place them in the bucket then sometimes I have several drips going into the same bucket, that way I don't use that much water.
Of course I usually have a 30 gallon tank going just for water changes, so no problem for me.

Just have some water mixed with the same SG and temp as your tank and you should be able to pour it right in. Be careful of course and don't just dump it in or else you'll scare things and knock stuff over. Just go slow.
Also, how much water are you taking out during the drip? I usually have no more than a gallon.

actually, 2 hours of dripping should only be about 2 gallons, at the most. tie a couple knots in the tubing. I think the biggest thing about acclimation is to get the new animal used to the salinity of your tank, and give them some peace and quite to get over the shock of shipping, so there's really not a whole lot of reason to have to use a huge amount of water.

Thank you , Yea, that's the way I'll think of it as a partial water change.
I just wasn't sure I could do so many water changing around things all at once. This is so scientific . I get so nervous that I am going to blow the whole eco system (again).
Thanks so much for your responses.
