I don't like the premades they limit you options. Put screen over the back to help with jumpers. Its 3 somthing a roll at lowes.

+1 ...I have the screen..
If I were handy I would make me a canopy that was higher with doors so I could tend to my tank without removing the entire canopy and light system.
I am not handy...so what is sold is all I have.

i got some bird netting at Home Depot that im planning on using. im gonna try to make a netting lid on my tank.
another question...how high are halides supposed to be above the water? does it matter as long as they are high enough to prevent evaporation from building up on the glass? i was thinking of having mine 7-9" off the water.

depends on wattage and depth of tank. there is no real clear absolute. but i wouldnt go less than 8" and probably no more than 18"

I like that jumper screen. lets your lights breath, but still protects the fish. very nice. you have it attached to the tank? or is gravity doing the work?

my dad thinks he found out a way to make adjustable legs for my canopy that could let me adjust the height...so i might combine mech-a-nic's and his idea together and see how that goes. anyways...thanks for everyones help...especially mech-a-nic
