I did the first water change last night. The water was cloudy when I  was mixing it and had a strong odor. This cleared up quickly. I added the salt very slowly (like 1/2 cup every few hours) and the water cleared up quickly. Parameters were pretty good. I didn't write down the numbers but I remember calcium was high. I think this is a good thing since I am starting to get into SPS. I am supposed to be getting about 20 mini colonies in a week or so from a group coral buy.

Back the truck up here. Talk about a random bomb! 20 mini colonies? What are you getting??

You saw what I sneaked in there. Yup, I am getting about 20 mini colonies.I'm not sure what I am getting, but it is supposed to be some good stuff shipped directly from Australia. Realistically, I am paying about $12 per coral.

That's cool!
Share pics when you get your new frags. :D I'm glad to see someone else getting into SPS corals. :D
I will!!! I have been getting into SPS for a little while. I have a red planet, bonsai, and some mystery SPS that is recovering. The mystery frag was badly bleached and a hitchhiker when I got my new rainbow anemone. It is starting to color up now.

Well I ended up with 18 frags but that count might go down. Everything is a little angry since it was just shipped from Australia on Wednesday went to get fragged then to someone else's tank then it went to my tank tonight. I will take some pics and post them up soon.
