I FINALLY got a fish!!!!

Hi everyone!
I have sort of taken a leave of absence from this board for the last few months. So many things going on, saltwater had taken somewhat of a back seat (new job for me, new job for husband, moving, and new baby on the way)...until now!!!
Back in early July, I got my first fish for my 55 gallon tank, a fuzzy dwarf lion. He made it all of two weeks and my tank has been maintained, but aside from my clean up crew, empty since. This past weekend, I finally bit the bullet again and got a beautiful little flame angel. I am a bit nervous that I went with too aggressive of a fish for the first one in the tank, but the lfs guy assured me he would be ok (I know, I know...I should have checked with you first...). My new pride and joy's name is Flint and he is eating and doing quite well.
Take a look at my wish list please and let me know if you think the others will get eaten alive by my new addition. Also, any other suggestions for what I could add??
Flame angel
Strawberry basslet
Maroon clown
four wheel drive blenny (or is it goby?)
....something else.....
Thanks for the help in advance! It feels good to be back.

PS: Hopefully, my mom (MonaLisa) will post pics for me soon!

I would LOVE to have a mandarine, but I don't have nearly enough live rock (I only have about 60 pounds)
For inverts, right now I have 2 emeralds, 3 turbo snails, and a bunch of hermits. I plan to get a good variety of shrimp and maybe some brittle stars...
I don't have a fuge...unfortunately....

that is still not realy healthy enough for them imho. A fuge is not that hard to setup

I should just set up a fuge, I guess...
As for an additional fish...I just haven't put my finger on what it is that would be a good addition to my list...

I would stay away from mandarins in that size tank, at least until you have a fuge up for 6 months and you have tons of pods. That is their main food source. How about a midas blenny or bi color, they are both very entertaining. Or a fairy wrasse, they are usually very colorful.

Ooooo! Good suggestions!! I think maybe fairy wrasse has been added to the list!
My tank also is quite reef ready. I do not yet have MH, so I have to be careful what I put in there, but my mom has given me a frag of her pink zoos and a frag of her xenia and they are doing beautifully...
Thanks!

sign guy meant reef ready as in the tank came factory pre drilled with a built in overflow box. or you can get or make a sump and a hang on tank overflow box.
welcome back.

He's doing great! He's eating really well and picking algae off my live rock. He loves his swim-throughs and is getting a little less shy when I walk up to the tank.

don't listen to this fool. honestly, a mandarin for a beginner? guy's on what, 500 posts a month now? have time to look at a tank? mandarin's will require quite a copepod population which i can guarantee most people don't have. if you happen to be more knowledgeable than him i salute you and get yourself a mandarin!!!!
