Congratulations. Some quick advice because I can't help myself but give some. Start off feeding a 'large breed' puppy food. Large breed puppy has slightly less calories than regular puppy food which is good. If you give a large breed puppy excess calories they grow fast, but their cartilage and bone structure can not keep up with the weight/size change leading to an increase incidence in hip dysplasia. Large breed puppy food allow them to grow slower and better. They will eventually get just as big as they would have on regular puppy food but they will do so in a safer way.

Cool! Gotta love puppies. Hubby was at a pet store in Ontario, Ca yesterday and I could hear the little puppies barking and he was oohing and aahing them. I repeated many times in a very stringly *you are not allowed to bring a puppy home* :lol

I'm jealous, I want a puppy SO bad but I want an English Bulldog and I can't seem to find any in my area except at Petland and I will not buy one from there. Congrats though.

These are loveable dogs but they are 'money pits'. Breathing problems, eye problems, skin problems..all chronic, recurring ones...But everyone I know that has one loves them and they always stay with the breed and get another one if their original one passes away.

Exact brand is not important...as long as you recognize the name...So no 'Big Red' or Walmart food. I usually suggest people stick with the same brand the breeder feeds for the first 10-14 days. Just like with swf..New environment=stress. Stress is not good. Think disease/diarrhea..not fun. After the 10-14 days IF you want to switch brands do so over a 5-7 days period by mixing 50:50 old food:new food.
FYI...Again any brand will do. I feed Nutro's Max formula (no..I do not get a commission
)

I just cam from the store. I got a collar, a leash, and dog food. I got the dog food thats called Purina ONE for adults. I called the breeder and he said he uses Purina ONE for adults. I checked how much he weights and he weighs 23.1 LB. Ever how often and how much food should I feed him?
