Well, I absolutely love cats! Alyssia, you HAVE to get a Ragdoll if you ever get another cat. If only a Persian had a Ragdoll's personality! I have had two Persians and neither were "hold me" or "touch me" cats! My Ragdoll can't stand it if you're not holding him and petting him! He sleeps across my neck at night! LOL! I actually ended up paying more for him than the Persian which I thought was a little odd?? He is 4 months old and already weighing 6 3/4 pounds! Everything I've read says they can get 20-30 pounds (males)!

I personally love cats but alas, the dog I have now does not (evident in the 4 neighborhood stray cats that have fallen victim to him).
When I find a new place, he'll stay with my parents and I'm finding a Bengal Cat. One of my best friends has one and that thing is frickin' AWESOME!...huge male, tan with black spots. If you're sitting on the couch, he'll climb your back, like a moutain goat and then attack your head. Imagine being drunk, sitting on the couch and then in a split second you have a 20 - 25lb cat wrapped around your face. LOL!

Yep, I think ragdolls get the largest out of domesticated cats. That's weird about your persians, both of mine follow me from room to room just like dogs, and you can't sit down w/o them fighting for a spot on your lap. I thought persians were supposed to be alot more personable than "regular" cats. What kind of ragdoll is yours? I want one of the mitted ones, they are so adorable! Where did you get yours? I've looked around on the net b/c I've never seen or heard of any breeders locally.

Yep, Bengals are cool too! My neighbor has a sphynx. It is really nice but looks like an alien.

ya we have the same problem with drinking and buying things on the internet too. Thats why we turn off the computer and stay up stairs. Cute kitty. Now you have to admit its a good trade, you get the fuge and she gets a kitty. I would say you got away with alot if you ask me. LOL You got the better buy!

Yes, Bengals are AWESOME!
Sorry, Alyssia, I must have missed your post! I only have one Persian and one Ragdoll. I was just comparing the Persian's personality to the one I had years ago. He's sweet, but just doesn't like to be held for long periods of time! He does follow me and don't even try to go to the bathroom with the door closed or he'll scratch on it over and over!
You are right about Ragdolls being the biggest domesticated cats (or so the net says!) Mine is a blue seal point. He is not mitted. I love the mitted one!! We have a local breeder that raises them, but they are quite difficult to find and the ones I've seen on the net range from about $800-$1500 which I think is INSANE! We paid $400 which I didn't think was bad. He's fully registered. Here's a pic and I'll be happy to give you any info about the breeder if you would like. We got ours neutered yesterday :0( It's ashame to pay that much for a darned cat then neuter him, but we just don't want to get into the breeding. The breeder says after you figure all you put into it, you can't make any $! You can email me if you'd like sunshine120861@yahoo.com
