Beth,
My next door neighbor is going to take care of it for me while I'm away (hopefully he knows what he is doing
I just purchase a 20gl tank and I'm going to start the QT tonight.

Does he know how? With a new uncycled tank, it will need water testing daily. How long are you going to be in Mexico?

I've also printed out your comments on how to setup QT tank and etc.
My neighbor also have a 75gl fish tank too but it's feshwater. he got me started on saltwater tank :D

LOL how inconvinient fish can be when you have a vacation planned!
Make sure he is well versed in it because you are placing them in his hands (metaphorically!)
20g sounds good to me.
Tim.

Hi, I introduced a new flame angel two weeks ago that brought ich with it. I have been using the Kick-Ich product for two weeks and the spots are gone but even though it says two use it for at least two weeks I will continue for one month as it only kills it in the swimming stage, and like someone in another post said the cysts can linger around in the gravel and live for three or more weeks even if you think that it is gone! Good luck, Lesley.
Make sure that your neighbor knows how to dose your medicine while you are gone. I got some of those little tiny plastic bags at the container store to use for fish food when we went to Jamacia last month. I put the days of the week on each little bag with the correct amount of food for each day so the person feeding them would feed the correct amount......Maybe you could leave a calendar with the days to dose the medicine, and make sure they know how to properly measure the exact amount. !
