hey i picked blue hippo up on Sunday...i wonder if its belly will turn yellow....humm...i paid 49.99- 25% off (fish club member) it is about 3 to 4 in long...but i am goin to another thread...dom dom dom (sound effects)

I don't know if you bought a yellow belly or not; probably not at that price. The yellow bellies are a fairly new fish to the hobby; most hippos are from the group that will never have any yellow.Funny, when the yellow belly variety first showed up, I thought they were great. But now that they are fairly common; I think a healthy original is a prettier fish. Just my opinion.

It takes them to about 4'' to start showing their yellow bellies.
