I came home from ***** and there it was. How perfect is that!!

I have to say I think the BioCube is a better quality than the Aquapod.
So I came home, mixed up the salt and set up the tank. I don't have the LR yet, I'll have to get that tonight. I also haven't added the raw shrimp either. But here it is:

I have it set up in my bedroom. I always wanted one in my bedroom, but we had way to many windows and not enough room. Anyway, it's set on my dresser which is right across from my bed.

The only thing is the celing slants so I can't lift the lid all the way. I will have to put something there to hold the lid while I work on it.
I LOVE IT ALL
READY!!!

Nice tank! I like that size. I used to have a little 5.5 but I didn't like how everything hung off of it.
I might just have to get one of these for myself.
What do you plan on keeping in it?

How come you don't think I should use it? I actually put in some slices of frozen fish the LFS gave me, he said it work too. Should I take it out?
I'll post pics in a bit of my tank with the LR

Here's my tank with the rock. I know it will change 1,000 times but oh well, it's all good.

I'm mostly going to keep soft coral. Zoos, shrooms, a toadstool, the easy stuff.
I'm not sure about fish. I'll have to look at that. I have a clown in my 12 gal so if I do get a fish, I'd like something different.

you could get like a few little clown gobies... an orange one, green one, panda one, and cinnamon one, they are so tiny they barely do anything to the bio load.

really? I will have to check them our, they sound cool. Do they hide in the rock or can you watch them swim around? I like watching fish swim, not hide in rocks.

they dont swim, they do move around amongst the lr and on the sandbed. They swim occasionaly, but are not a very active fish. It'd be cool to have a clown goby tank though :)
I would take the raw fish out, your tank will cycle with just the lr and sand. Give it 2 weeks to a month and your good :D

I'd only do one clown goby, they can get aggressive with their own kind.
My black clown goby does mostly sit around all day at the highest part of the tank. But when feeding time comes, man he is all over that stuff.
I'd look into a pistol shrimp and shrimp goby combo along with the clown; they stay small and do fairly well in tiny tanks.

So today is the 3rd day of my cycle. A couple people told me I could take out the piece of fish I put in there to start the cycle so I did. Here's a pic.:

Levels this afternoon:
PH: 7.8
Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: 0
Amonia: .5

Looks good! I just ordered one and should be in next week. What is the tempreture at?
Did you get the 6 gal?
The temp is 79. I got a new thermometer. In my 12 gal I have one that floats and it susction cups to the glass. The suction cup never works so if floats all over the place. this time I figured I would put it in a back chamber so it couldn't float all around. I droped it in the back chamber and it sunk!! It wasn't a floating one, exact oppisite. It has a weight to keep it on the floor.
Good thing I have tiny hands.
