thanks...I will be posting more pics once they all open up. The goniopora is the only thing that has fully opened. The zoas are about 25% open and for the price I am impressed with what I received.
BTLDreef, I was unable to make it to LI.
I was all set to go and my friend calls needing my help. I am thinking about making the trip up there next weekend. I have officially talked myself out of the mandarin. I am going to wait until I move and set up a sump & refugium. I do have plenty of copepods for now, but I know a mandarin will gobble them up quicker than I can reseed. Even if the mandarin is weaned to eat frozen, I would still be paranoid that I am not giving it the best environment to thrive in.

Definitely understand that.
If you do decide to make a trip to LI, let me know and I'll email you a list of the stores you should try to hit up.

i was thinkin about getting one i have almost 5 watts/gallon of t-5 lights some people say it will be fine and some people say not to get it that i need more light i might wait til i get some supplemental led lights
I know I kept getting confused I kept researching and it would say moderate or intense lighting. I decided when I got the metal halides that I was good to go to get my clam. I just took Meowzer's advice and got one that was 3 inches.
Update: Everything is opening nicely. Th zoas are about 70% open today. I will post pics tomorrow.

Ok so for me tomorrow came a few days late. Here's a pic of my zoa from my camera phone.

Yeah, I've just been busy with work and did not notice how close it got to the torch until I took the pic.

They should eventually stop....I had (have) a derasa in my 29G....I first put it in the front left corner.....it moved all the way across the front to the right side....then turned the corner and went to the right back corner

I order 90% of my stuff. I live within 10 mins of 4 LFS and have at least 6 more within 45 mins. I just don't like the selection or the quality of the live goods. It may seem weird, but I am much more comfortable ordering online. Many sites offer a guarantee, while LFS offer no guarantees.

Clams move when they're unhappy. In many ways, they are like anemones: they need good lighting, good water quality, will move if unhappy and don't like to be messed with.
Gemmy, have you ever tried Manhattan Aquariums?

No, I really need to get up to NY to check out the LFS. I am thinking about going up this weekend (woohoo first weekend off in 6 months
