Look, some Petcos are bad. Some are not. If you don't like them, don't buy ANYTHING there. So many times I hear that "oh I went to buy blah blah but they are HORRIBLE to their animals, aren't they?" Well why are you even in the store?? If you are in the store, then you are supporting the conditions the animals are in.
It is not a good thing, IMO, to "save" an animal because they sold it, didn't they? So they will go buy another who will be in the same postion. If they all died on them, maybe they would not carry them. But it is also difficult to avoid doing that; it is normal compassion and so it is understandable.
To be honest I have NO idea how good or bad local *****'s are because unless it is an emergency, I won't purchase anything from them. I will not buy Tetra products unless I'm desperate because of a news segment bit they did when Nemo came out. I'm not saying "oh I really hated it...." and then buying their stuff.
But invariably on these all too common threads where ***** comes up, people seem to know exactly how bad things are and how bad the staff is, which means you are spending time in the store. :notsure:
I am hopeful that people can focus on the original question here which was how to provide for this fish. If it continues on with ***** bashing, just like a thread - I dunno - not two days ago and two days before that - it doesn't have a bright future.
Sorry for the short fuse on this but honestly, it comes up WAY to frequently! Lets overlook for once the word "*****" for ONCE and actually try and help the fish! :happyfish
To be honest, I am a new tx residents who has never had a problem with *****'s in Pa, the ones I went to were clean, so I wasn't saying all petcos are horrible, maybe just the ones in Tx (just kidding) Like any chain, you have great management and lousy management. Maybe its a state regulation issue, some are more strict on conditions, just don't know  :notsure: . Anyhow sorry for any bashing I did on this thread
