I hate Frozen Formula 1 Food!

I put a cube in tank water with vitamins. I then let it "melt", but of course it does not melt since it is in some sort of gelatin.

Instead I have to use a syringe to suck it up and spit it back out to break the cube up. Unfortunately this only works when you can see the cube so I often pour it into the tank with a big chunk still there. That causes some fish fights.

Finally it sinks to the bottom, and does not stay in the water column. So my hermits are very well fed!
When I am done with my package (or get fed up) I am going back to Marine Cuisine or to Rod’s food.

Anybody have ideas on this stuff?

My fish won't touch it. I have used it before. The same with any gel based foods. When I did use it I broke it into pieces with my fingers. You can cut it with a knife as well.

I really just don't get what your are supposed to do with this stuff. I slice it and place it in a shallow plastic bowl. Once it has melted a little bit, I grind it with a spoon. I then spoon feed into the tank. My fish seem to like it but I don't. I have heard that some people like it to spot feed LPS; I'm going to try it this weekend.

I unintentionally broke a veggie clip once. I now only have the back half with the suction cup on it. I use one of my fiance's hair ties (things you use to hold a pony tail) with out any metal on it. I wrap this around the clip and use it to hold the formula foods. Works great and only sometimes ends up falling to the hermits, but usually not until most has been eaten by the intended fish. I use it to hold all foods actually when feeding my boxfish, so they can graze at their leisure.
