i hate my budget!!

it really stinks to blow through your budget for your fish tank during the first week of the month and then have to wait for the next month LOL.
does anyone else have a budget they try to stick to? my wife is trying to keep me at $100 a month.

you wouldnt have a budget if you didnt have a wife.... just think what size tank you could have if your were single...... i have 8 tanks and my gf hates them i tell her every pair of shoes or a purse means a new tank try that one..

I may have a budget.. but that doesn't mean i stick to it..
i just tell her buying fish stuff is like buying make -up and cosmetics right? plus there's other things that my wife gets pissed about..One of them is the famous "Boys night out"..

when i plan to buy something expensive for the tank i try to buy her something about the same price one week ahead so i can use that as an excuse. wife is not to bad on "boys night out" she just hates it if i come home at 2 or 3am..

Hmmmm, I pretty much buy what I need, when I need it, whether I need it or not. My HB and I are at the tail end of outfitting 4 people with SCUBA equipment...that was his project, the tanks are mine.

heh, thats the only reason i was able to buy stuff in may :) I went WAY over budget in april. If i truly need something (like salt in a week.........) i can probably buy it.
btw, if i didn't have a wife, i couldn't afford a fish tank. Being a DINK is nice :)

I have to try to stick by my budget of about 60 a month which never really ends up being that, with salt and food alone you can spend that much at times, my bf says I spent to much on it as well so I will just bring up the last costly thing that he bought to lol, I always end up getting my way :)

i get ten a week... thats 40 a month... but then again, i get my $$$ from my parents and im VERY happy to get anything
except for today... which was my birthday so i got to go on a 175$ shopping spree

budget? What's that? I've never spend that much in a month, not on maintance anyway. Now that I have a ro, it'll only be salt and such.
My method: Deal with a crappy tank for a few years and save your pennies. Graduation and Christmas money goes into my fish bank, though I spend of it on a cruise or two.

I am 14 and my budget is none. The only problem is, is that I dont have a job. Which means my B-day money and X-mas money has to last me the whole year!!!

My mom has me on a leash I haven't bought a coral in 2 months

I can't really buy anything because everyone in my family hates going to the fish store.

Your parents shouldnt have to buy you anything, I use all my own money. My family dosent care going there. I just ask them 2 times a month and they are fine with that.

Oh sorry, I missinterpend it. Just be really nice do everything you are told and while your out like 1nce a month just ask to stop by like if you pass by one.

I spend what I want to spend.. But am still in the start up process (just got the last of my lr in today) I will have to put myself on a budget after complete cycle and clean up crew - I will not allow for someone else to put me on one.. But I also work for what I have. :)
