I raised this baby from just a few tentacles...
Then it was confirmed at this site that it is aiptasia... I wasn't seeing any propagation problems but I opted to purchase a peppermint shrimp.. It's still there.. (it was a small peppermint) but the aiptasia isn't nearly as large as it looked like the peppermint was trying. I periodically see small ones here and there.. but they soon disappear.. Since it tends to hide in the rock it's in, I'm no longer as concerned, but should I see a major outbreak, it will be time for the juice!!

UPDATE:

The pic above is how big mine got in just a few months of having it & letting it grow & though I liked to look at it, because I'm going to get some additional fish that could get stung, I made up my mind to kill it so it wouldnt kill my fish. I used boiling RO water & squirted it with a turkey baster then sucked it up. There is still a stump that I'm sure will grow back but I'm ordering peppermint shrimp to take care of it & the tons of babays it has in the tank now.
Also there are some butterfly fish that are suppost to eat them too, I dont have a big enough tank.
Thanks to all that replied I guess in the end I had to decide for myself that they really are pests & couldnt afford to loose fish over them.
