My live rock is bronish color and the plants on it are dieing off of it and it's turning into a reg. rock and it has red spots on it and my phosphate level is 1.0ppm and 1 of my damsels is dieing i think cuz it wont come out from behind one of the LR and i STILL can't find one of my damsels i haven't seen it at night or in the day time or anything so where is it?
and i have a ? on a QT tank i went to my local petsmart today and found a 10g starter tank with every thing but a light for $57.95 is this a good price?

What are the other levels in your tank? Ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, calcium, ph, temp, and salinity. Also how long have you had the LR? Was it cured when you got it?
As far as the q-tank I picked up a 10 gallon complete setup from my LFS for $40. That included the stand, tank, filter, and hood.

don't know on cal. but nitrates are 30 and nitrites are 0 and PH is 8.3 and ammonia is .5 to 0 and temp is 75-78*F (it's been jumping for some resaon so i think the heater is shot or somethin)
i have lots of airation(but not strong bubbels just 3 air stones) and salinity is 1.023-1.024(it's in between)
but there is one thing that i think is or was causing this i have some ICH in my tank and i'm treating it with some greenex and 1 of my fish died because of the ICH (i think) and i didn't find it till today when i looked under a rock so it was dead in there for 4 days so i have 3 damsels now instaded of 4 but 1 is gonna die soon but the other 2 are playing and having fun and doing quite well and i'm gonna buy a QT tomorrow(hopefully) and set that up then put em in that for a while till everything gets right agian
or is this all part of cycling?????????!!!???? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

people told you, that you that you'd have problems and that the damsels may die. plus if you added uncured lr the levels most likely changed. if it was cycled completly before, now it's going through a mini cycle.
add a dead damsels to it and that's why you have the readings you do.

ooooooooooh ok i thought it was because of the dead damsel and the sick on that has been hiding doesn't look sick any more but it still wont come out
and yeah i'm pretty shur the LR was cured first because it's been in there ever since my uncle added it along time ago

if the lr has been in the tank then it's most likly cured, however you said "plants on it are dieing off of it" why is stuff dieing off?
