I have a mouse.

It's a field mouse. It's cute, but now it's bordering annoying...
He makes a nest in the drawer of my grill.. I have set a trap. A humane, catch and hold trap, not a kill it trap. I caught him, had my son take him WAY back into the woods and set him free. Today my dog, my wonderful little "rat" terrier (mix) has indicated he's back and he is...
The trap is reset, but what am I supposed to do with this thing when I catch it again?? How far do I have to take him??
And don't even suggest killing it because that is not an option. Not only am I on the "reserve", but I wouldn't have the guts anyway...

are you sure its the same mouse
Oh yes... I recognized those shifty beady little eyes and scrawny little legs the moment I saw him. Besides, he's the only one who knows the grill is there... You don't suppose he told his friends do you?? Little bastage is prolly throwing parties while were gone...
I need the PO'ed finger tapping smiley.

He has no problem pooping where you cook hamburgers.

I have used the clear humane traps before. Be careful picking it up if you catch him. The door swings in and they come flying out like a screaming banshee.

no chuckle here.....flat out laughing!! (because I was thinking the same exact thing)
Do what my neighbor did with the racoon that he swore kept coming back under their porch after they moved it a few blocks away. They used a little fluorescent orange spray paint on his back.
YEP, it was him/her that kept coming back. They finally took it several miles away.

.
They should have shaved it bald. Any racoon could have spray paint on it.

The dog and the mouse "are" about the same size. However, one is a bred hunting and killing machine from birth...
Oh my poor dog.
So what I'm gathering here is that I need to paint this mouse orange and he's gonna come flying at my face like a banshee...

We've had a mouse in our kitchen for over a month, and my dog won't go near it. We set humane traps too and nothing worked.

I'd suggest driving atleast a mile or more away from your house next time you catch him and put him in a corn field, or maybe just the woods, not sure what he would like better...probably a corn field.

Send him to the corn field and maybe a rat snake will make friends with him
