i have a new gianopora

i recently bought this piece and it ha a foot long worm traveling in and out of it do i need to remove it its white and tan in color offwhite and the gianopora isnt looking well it was huge in the store but looks like a koosh ball not expanding much at all new to the hobby and new to forum .... please help

I would remove it aswell I to have a goniapora and for the first 2 days it didnt expAND UNTIL IT GOT CONFERTABLE
