I have cycled my 1st SW tank!!! But i'm wondering ...... why?

I am wondering why i didn't get an algae bloom? I know that somebody said it might not happen ...... but thats ok? It took about 2 months (i cycled with damsels).

My lfs tested the water and said it was done cycling.
I tested it 2 weeks ago and they said that it was almost done with its cycle.
