I just recieved my shippment of southdown sand. I may have some extra bags if anyone is interseted. I live about 20 minutes north of Detroit. It did cost me alot in shipping to get it, so my price will definetly be higher. It is in 50# bags. If interested e-mail me back and let me know how much you are willing to pay per bag and hpow many bags you need. My e-mail address is mmync@hotmail.com

Well you can mix southdown with other sand, but most people just use all southdown, and then seed it with a little bit of live sand. Either way it will eventually turn into live sand for alot less money. It looks really nice too.

Sorry guys, but no that is not including shipping. That is why I was asking if there was people around michigan, however you can come pick it up, or I will ship it at your expense. Hope I still can help some how :)

If you're in MI and especially if you're in Grand Rapids, MI... go to http://www.thereefshop.com/. I just talked to the guy - he's got a few hundred bags of Yard Right (same as southdown) that he's selling for 9.99 a 40# bag. He'll also be getting in the renamed southdown called Old Castle pretty soon as well. It'll save you on shipping costs for sure.
