I have yet another question

I would just like to say that this is the best resource that is possibly imaginable. I am so happy that i found my way to this site. My LFS (Pets Inc in Tempe, AZ) is about as worthless and condecending as they come. Anyways i digress; my question is in my tank i can see lots of little particles floating around that do not look like salt particles. I am wondering what this is. I am really just wondering what i need to do. I have a test kit and all of my readings have come back perfect.
Please help!!

There is no sand in the aquarium, i purchased the aquarium from someone and there is actually rock pebbles in the bottom (which i plan on removing once i have the money).

Could be many diff things how long have you had the tank set up? Did you break it down to move it? What kind of filtration is on it? What kind of salt do you use?? :notsure:

The tank has been setup in my possesion since sunday. I used all ro/di water and i used instant ocean salt. The tank was setup for about six months before i purchased it. It has a sump pump filtration system.
Thanks again for all the help.

You can lay a piece of white (mine is anyway) 1 micron pad on top of your carbon layer. I run carbon in my sump on top of the blue filter pad for about a week, then take it out. I do this every couple months. I unplugged my UV after all the bad reading I've done on its effect on the reef, but I think I'm gone to run it for a week at a time once a month or so to improve water clarity also. Not to steal a thread, but any thoughts on this?
