Hey guys,
First off, if anyone in here ever gets bored and wants to talk to the worlds nicest person contact: LectricEel This guy (paul) bought this amazing tank a year ago, mind blowingly nice...cost him an arm and a leg. and he sold me his set up for $550 and dropped it off at my house for free, plus gave me free salts...etc...im still in complete shock!
Anyways i had a 55 gallon tank and it still has my fish in it, but im debating... do i make the tank a reef or do i make it a fish tank?
in my 55 i currently have
1 niger trigger
1 v lion
1 yellow tang
1 koran angel
1 cream angel
1 box fish
1 hawk fish
there all small so there fine for now, im putting most in the main tank, im just trying to figure out what all i want to do with my main tank.
also if anyone has any ideas for fish i should add hit me up, i need as much info as possible...because this tank is going to be PERFECT!

Well do you have LR in your 55 ? when your fish you have no gets bigger your 120 is still gonna be too small. keep up your fish tthats what i would do. becaucse you got some nice fish already. v-lion , koran etc etc. It's fun to watch them grow.

Right now your 55 is most likely overstocked, for the future health of your fish I would recommend moving them into the 125. If you choose to go reef with it its going to cost an arm and a leg for lighting and filtration but it will be well worth it in the end, however the fish in your 55 will soon outgrow it and then require a larger tank to prevent major complications later in their life.

If you are keeping both tanks I would suggest the larger tank as the fish only. Reef compatible fish tend to be smaller and need less room. Your angel is not reef compatible and in time he will need a larger tank. Also, the lighting needs of reef tanks is expensive, smaller tank, smaller light, less money. A 55 will still be plenty big for all of your reef tank needs.

the guy who sold me the 125 is going to sell me his reef lights for $500 ..they cost him brand new a year ago over a grand...so im thinking im going to use those lights for the main tank...simply because i need to buy lights anyways...and even if i bought decent lights new they would cost me $500 so i might as well get his reef lights
