Well whoopty-doo ! He'll break Aaron's record all right but it'll be with a big, fat " * " next to his HR numbers due to his checkered career and the suspected uses of steroids. Besides - Hank Aaron has already says he WILL NOT attend the game when Bonds "breaks" Aaron's HR record.
Let's get a REAL player break the HR record instead of Barry Bonds. You know, the one that does not need steroids to get there to break a record.

i'm just wondering if you could name a player that has not used them every one's hero a few years ago was rafael palmeiro swore before congress he never used them then walah who tested dirty rafael palmeiro go figure who might be clean today i would say barry bonds he has been under a microscope for years now and is still putting them over the yard tobin

in the article he does admit steroid use, i know about that what i said was he never tested dirty as far as i know, and also like i stated his trainer (called a dirty player in the game) was the 1 who gave them to him and he only noted the 2003 season in the same article it is stated that barry bonds has been the best player in the game since his rookie year and his numbers prove that, i believe that there are just alot of barry haters out there, and hank aaron's not being at the game his statement was he did not have time for it and just wanted to get on with his life he had nothing bad to say about barry so if you don't like him that is fine try to find your perfect athlete and in a few years the press will tear them down also, try hating the yankee's with all the money steinbrenner pays 4 of the highest paid players in the game and they still haven't won in a while (just a sidenote i am aware they have more world championships than any other team) but me i am excited about watching the record fall it's a big accomplishment no matter how you slice it tobin

I am strongly against using steroids or any type of that in sports PERIOD !!! If you need to use that just to prove yourself, then you are a loser. Steroids is a LAZY man way of bulking up and be "invincible". Use the gym and train hard the NATURAL way. If they can't do that, then they don't belong in sports.
Anyone who says steroids should be mandatory in sports makes my blood boil !! Research steroids and their long-term effects it has on players. I've lost a couple very close friends of mine getting involved with steroids to an early grave. So don't go preaching me I don't know anything about the effects of steroids. I've seen it first hand and it ain't pretty. Close this thread because it's only gonna get ugly with me bashing those who thinks steroids is harmless.

Cal Ripken, Jr. He never needed steroids to reach his record and he's going in the HOF !! He's the perfect role model for all kids ...

there are PLENTY who don't use. it's obvious the ones who use....they are the ones who put on 20+ pounds of muscle over an offseason, their head grows contorted and looks like Mickey Rourkes head, their feet get bigger. and oh yeah, their numbers get BETTER as they get closer to age 40. that would be Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, Giambi, Luis Gonzalez, Sheffield, and several others. but don't say everybody does, because they don't
