i have a 75gl with 2 lions (volitan-spotted) 1 banded moray two puffers(bridled-porky) niger trigger 3 damsels(yellow tail-behn's-striped) 1yellow tang 1banded shark two more in eggs. now the bridled puffer is getting turned in.replace with dogface. one shark will probably be turned in also! will a 180 with ls and about 100lb lr support these for about 3 years. the filter will be a maxi-reef 300 w power heads (3 802's). I know i'm nuts but can it work!

What makes you think you're overstocked...I'd add a cuttlefish into the mix.
Just kidding.
Like JWT said, I'd get the 180 up real soon.
That's not much help...but it's the truth.

What!?!
After a year that shark should have been close to 18 inches if you took care of it properly.

do a search...risc posted some great info on most captive kept sharks and about their filtration; I think in it, it had stated that growth will depend on temperature & frequency/amount of feeding; that also that shark should have been at least 1.5' by that time if healthy..even a 180 won't last that long if everything is properly kept...maybe 6 months at best...less given your stocking methods

the more crammed the fish-the SLOWWWER they grow....This should help you out with time- I have a freshwater 29 gallon tank FULL of fish! one of the 30 fish is a Pacu, which I've had for a year and IS ONLY 6 inches long!
