I lost all my fish, but would like to know what white stuff is on the glass

But i am still trying to figure out what this white chalky like stuff is that started accumilating on the glass around the same time sailfin died?
if you folks could post all your thoughts, i would like to try and figure this out so i dont bomb this way next time

The tank has already been emptied so no pics gonna be avail.
Does anyone have any thoughts on any white stuff accumulating on the inside of the glass

Could have been many things it's difficult to say without a picture. You got one thing working for you though, if it was bad you won't have to worry about it now that the tank has emptied.

Sorry for your loss, actually something similar happened to me two weeks ago with the white stuff on the glass and death of all fish. Not sure that this will help much other than sharing my facts but I was treating for ich with Ich Attack which wasn't doing much except hurting the water quality. So after a week I dosed a few times with ATI stress coat to try and help fish and also did a media change one night in my fluval filter once I decided to stop the ich attack to add back carbon and replace one of the two cartridges of bio max and next morning the water was cloudy with the white dust on the glass and all fish had died. My ph had dropped to 7.7 but still haven't figured out what caused the "white-out".
