Hi fishy folk, i'm back! I am now in my new house and the tank has been up and running again for a week. The filters were only off for half an hour during the move.
After seeing so much about them on this board and how much people rated them, I have added a plenum system to the tank - I am sure it will be as good as you all say.
I also increased the flow in the tank ( I think some of the corals must think theres a typhoon on the way!!)
The tank looks even better than before, and as yet the red slime algae has not come back - yipee!!!!!
I have just started propogating my two types of xenia. I have used the 'haircut' method that I read about on the webb and the polyps have just started to atatch to pieces of coral gravel at their bases. The severed tips on the 'mother' colony have already started to grow their heads again. I will let you know how they do.
Does anyone have any experience with propogating xenia? Any advice would be great.
Sorry for waffling, but it's great to be up and running again!!
