Flower, your recipe that you posted sounds great too, although maybe ending up a little salty with all that onion soup mix?
It's very good. I kinda screwed up and let too much water cook off during final cooking and had some tough spots - - but we've been eatin on it for a couple days and the dogs got to enjoy the tough ends......my brisket was about 2x the recipe but I didn't allow enough liquid in the beginning. - my bad . . but a nice recipe for a change from the standard "pot roast" flavor........the cran and cinnemon add a great touch to a slab of meat.... will do again for sure, correcting for the liquids....(more)

Cool, glad it turned out well! If you want to amp up the flavor a little more, use some more wine and a lot more horseradish!
