I need a good eel recommendation

Wow you you've guys got ME confused...I personally perfer the tesseleta over all the other eels but ur tank might be a bit small so i'd have to suggest the zebra...they look great and you dont have to babysit them. I mean what's the point of havin an eel that hides all day and have to spoon feed.?? I envy u guyz that got lucky enough to get a snowflake that's agressive.....hey that's an oxymoron right?? you learn something new every day i guess

The snowflake is very popular but I find mine to be kind wimpy. He hangs in the rock most of the day and can be intimidated by other fish. Even my 4 stripe damsels slap him in the face with their tails from time to time.
This is probably not true for all snowflakes. Mine has killed 2 engineer gobys and a purple reef lobster.

He also knows when I feed the fish, I wake up come downstairs and he is waiting in a cave that is not his norm. If he can't find the food or the other fish get feed first he swims around the rocks until I feed him. Also all other fish fear him, except for the coral beauty.

sfe's are probly the hardest to judge in my opinion. I have heard of them be model citizens and i ahev heard of them ripping up lionfish so i wouldn't ta ke the chance. I think the fimbriated is the best so far

I have had my snowflake eel for three days now and I can say this is one aggressive eel. He comes all the way out of his cave whenever any food enters the water. He constantly chases my dog face puffer away from the food I try to give him. The both fight for food at the top of my tank when I feed them, with the eel totally out of his caves and almost ready to jump at the food before I put it in the water. From my little experience with saltwater fish and eels, I would have to say that the snowflake eel is far from docile and a great addition to any aggressive tank.

my snowflake eel is 24 inches and is great. He fights with my pork puffer. pork grew some balls recently and decided to try to steal my SFE shrimp. that didn't go over well.. Snowflake flung the pork across my 110 gallon pork never goes back!! it was funny.. My snowflake has never attacked nor ate another fish in my tanks.. he likes his food but knows his limits. great eel in my opinion

This morning I feed my snowflake and split some of the shrimp and some of it floated off and a hermit crab got and when he found that food he grabbed it from th hermit crab and flung the hermit crab across the width of my tank, when it comes to food my snowflake is not very docile.
