I need a skimmer with a small footprint

I would like to find a in sump skimmer with pump that will fit in a 9" X 8" compartment in my sump. What are some of the best small footprint skimmers?

How much room do you need for an Urchin. I have plans to buy this, and I want to put my skimmer in as small a section as possbile as I design my sump/fuge. Can the heater go in the refugium? Or must it go in the return or intake?

I'm not sure how much room is needed for an Urchin but I am looking into it as well. I plan on putting my heater at the return end of the sump. I have a Kent Nautilus skimmer from my old 100 gallon tank but it is way to big to fit in my sump so I'm going to sell it and pick up a new smaller skimmer.
