Hello all!
I'm a newbie at all this and need as much advice as I can possibly get! A few questions I have off hand are, what are good fish to start out with? If I would have a 45 or 55 gallon tank how much live rock should I put in, and is live rock a good idea? So if you have any advice at all I'll be glad to here it! Thanks

I need to know what you have in mind for a tank to suggest fish.
Live rock is a great idea IMO.
Before buying anything else I suggest getting a good modern book like The Concientous Marine Aquarist.
And... go slow... go painfully slow.

I'm going for a "fish only" tank.
I have a few books, Saltwater Aquariums for Dummies being one of them! :) I've been researching for a while, but it seems like you can't know enough!

Welcome to the board!
Like Bang guy said go slow and get a good book and read a couple times. A good amount of live rock is 1-1.5lbs per gallon. I would recomend getting as much as you can afford. Some good fish would be clownfish, green chromis, and a royal gramma just to name a few. There are a whole bunch of really cool fish so just do some reasearch to see what kind you want. And always come ask the board for info on fish you want.
