I Need info. on uv sterilizer and kent R* O units!

I have a 150g fo tank and the place where i got my uv sterilzer can't get me a replacement bulb. They installed it and threw the box out so I don't remember the name of the unit-I do know that it is a 16watt VHO bulb which equals about a 25 watt regular uv bulb. Its a rectangular black box. Does anyone have a uv sterilzer like this? If not what kind would you recommend for a 150fo tank?
Also, I have been looking at getting a kent R* O unit-the one I am looking at is model #RO 60 Hi-S(60 gpd) and its on sale for $169.00. What i am wondering is can this be hooked up to the faucet or is it done below the sink? And can the water that comes out of the unit reach my garbage can in the next room-about 20 feet? I change like 45 gallons at a time and i can't fill the can in the kitchen and move it to the family room because its too heavy! Thanks, Kevin

Pufferdaddy, Do you recommend the unit or should i look for a different one? If it is good-do you have red algae or do you ever check your phosphates? I'm most interested in getting it to get rid of phosphates.

I have this same system and it has been working great for me! I only need to produce about 40 gallons per week and I just use 5 gallon buckets which make it easy to mix in my salt and pour into the tank.

Surferboy, how is yours hooked up(is it permanent or temporarily hooked up only when you use it?). I tested my phosphates from the tap water and they are off the chart!!! Also if i need 45 gallons of water how much water is wasted to get the 45gallons for my water change?

I too have the exact same unit and have no problem with it. I had to buy an attachment peice to fit on my faucet in my downstairs bathroom. It only come with the size used for a garden hose. I leave mine hooked up. The attachment has a pin that you pull to direct the water through the unit. By the way temperature and water pressure affect the production the most.
