I need new lighting please help

Hi, I decided to put even more money into my lighting system. You ca see the size tank I have. I read all sorts of things about how much wattage should be in a reef tank. I have to have a glass top(wifes rules). Could I get some opinions on the type and wattage I should use for this type tank.

Its going to be expensive, so if youre budget is short just sell youre uv sterilizer and the pump for the uv because they are not reccomended to keep in a reef tank. You should look for metal halide systems with VHO that make it look very nice. Try to go for 2 fixtures of MH bulbs of 250 watts that would give 500 per fixture, so in total you would have 1000 put together plus the VHO. Good luck.

I'd got with either 3-250's or 2-400's supplimented with vho or pc....You could kepp sps,clams,softies,ans lps...The only think is it'll be a week or two of you wallet....
