hello,
I have a 125 coralife skimmer,
and to be honest with you, I don't know if my skimmer is working properly
because everytime I unplug it to do feed my corals or to clean the bubbles diffuser, and plug it back up, it has a lot of micro bubble in the canister and micro bubbles in the turtle neck of collector cup are very dense and there are lots of thick and foamy stuff spilling out.
But then for about half a hour or so, micro bubbles in the canister are less dense and also in the turtle neck part, and the skimmer doesn't skim properly any more.
If you own a 125 coralife skimmer, could you do me a favor and post a few pictures of a working skimmer so I can get a good idea about it.
Thank you so very much.
I have pics of the skimmer when it was just plugged in. I will post some pictures of mine when I can snapshot at the moment that it's not working. pics of the

some skimmers will stop fully skimming for awhile when you feed, or when you stick your hand in the tank but they will go right back to normal after awhile. this is normal
also why do you unplug your skimmer when you feed your corals?
i dont have a coralife but micro bubbles are awesome! you want them everywhere the more bubbles the better skimming your doing!
also some skimmers need to "break in" and for the first few weeks they wont skim as well as they will start too, so maybe you need to give it some time, and also i would run it 24/7 i would never unplug my skimmer unless im treating the tank with somethign that says " unplug yor skimmer while treating"

ok, here is what I am trying to describe.
pic1 shows when the skimmer was re plugged in and how much micro bubbles are in the canister.
pic2 shows how dense the foam in the turtle neck
pic3 shows how much less micro bubbles I get in the canister after 30min.
pic4 shows how much less micro bubbles I get in the turtle neck.
you can pretty much see water in the turtle neck. and the cup is no producing foam anymore

I unplug my skimmer and filters every time I feed corals with Encyclopez
cuz I want my polyps and corals and everything in the tank to catch the food and not to let them go into the filtration system for 15 minutes.
I, of course, want the bubbles to boil as much as possible, but it's not (see pics)
comments please, thank you.

Skimmers don't work as soon as you plug them in. It takes days to notice the collection of gook.
Make sure it's getting the right amount of air - but not too much or it will overflow.
Keep it on at all times, after a week to two weeks you will see that it is filled with dark/greenish liquid.
