Sorry To Hear He Died. What Size Tank Did You Have Him In? My Freind Had A Bat Fish That Was Huge That Lived In A 20 Gal. For 5 Months Before He Got Rid Of It.

some of the angels look almost like bat fish and they don't need a huge tank. just look up info on the kind of fish and its requirements before you buy it. good luck.

Well Seth...take this experience as a lesson learned and try something more along the lines as a sixline wrasse or goby,,....even a pygmy angel..... Might not be what you want but with 30 gallons you are limited in choices. I am not a firm believer about particular fish needing huge tanks to house them but you have to be sensible and agin it's simply my opinion. Just dont go out and buy a grouper of any sort and next week come with another stroy about him not digging your tank.. your 16 and have lots of room to grow with this hobby, with knowledge and hopefully tank sizes. Good luck and don't f up this time around :)

how big do panther groupers really get... ive heard a wide range... i only have a 29gal so i know i cant get one but i really like them...

dont want to make this a topic in this forum but to answe breifly...don't think of just length. take account height , girth,.... think 17" long by about 6" high and abour 3-4" fat..... might seem small in your head but throw it in a 90 gallon tank and it looks like your abusing the poor guy to hell... like I said before....be sensible about it.
