I'm looking at the Aqua Ultraviolet and I have a 150fo tank. It looks like i should get the 15w or 25w. Which size should I get and why?

Here we go again. The AQUA brand UV rates it's UV's diferently than other brands. So the 15 watt will work for your 150.Actually thier 8 watt is rated for up to 200 gallon tanks, but the 15 was reccomended to me by the company rep. It's good for 200-500 gallons. But however they rate them,They are the best.Just be sure to get the bulb upgrade(gold pins),the quartz sleeve, and the wiper.

Mr. Salty, where did you get yours and for how much. I saw it on petwhse**** and it was like $139.95 but i couldn't tell if it had the wiper or the gold pins. Thanks for the info. And on an unrelated topic-what is the best way to clean dead coral? I have red algae on my coral that need dynamite to get it off. My phosphates are low but the red algae doesn't just go away. Do you have any dead coral and if so how do you clean it?

I originally was going to get mine online, but worked out a special deal with my lfs.I am a firm believer in supporting the local guy. I payed just over $200 for mine but it has all the options.Champion lighting I believe has the best price I've seen on these units,That is untill you pay shipping. As for dead coral you can take it out and soak it in a very weak bleach water solution overnight. Then rince the ---- out of it,Then let it sit in the sun to dry for a day. I do have a couple pieces of dead coral in my tank, but I have let it turn into live rock.
