I really need to move my anemone!!

I have a long tentical Purple tipped anemone.....AKA a Florida Condi Anemone. He is doing excellent. I need to move him off of this rock. I just upgraded to a bigger tank, and the rock he is on is too big to put in my bigger tank. I want to take the rock back to the LFS for store credit, but that anemone is NOT gonna go with it. I like him too much. :hilarious
Any ideas? He is stuck pretty good. I have put direct flow on him for more than a week. I quit feeding him for about that long too. I took away all the light and he refuses to move. I don't want to hurt him, but he will have to come off before the rock goes to the LFS.
Thanks guys,
Joe

Fishy, thanks for the tip. I didn't really know how to use your ice idea cause I didn't want to hurt him. So, I directed a pretty powerfull powerhead full blast at his base for about an hour and but he never budged. I guess the reason it's being so hard for me is because his foot is in a hole in the rock. I really cant get anything under him to pry on his foot. So after about two hours of scratching my head, I just made room for the rock in my big tank. Maybe he will move to another rock, then I can do away with that rock, but until then, the rock is staying.
Thanks for the help,
Joe

Just fyi long tentacle anemones aren't the same as condy anemones. Freshwater dips will kill it.
You could flip the rock upside down so the anemone is in the shade. Then once it moves out of the hole you can get it off the rock.

Qreef, thanks for the info, but I did a search on that and found what Viper said. It might kill him.
Well, he has already been transfered to the other tank and the rock he is on is pretty much burried in other rock, so if he moves, it ok, if he dosent, thats fine to. Whatever.
Thanks again guys, you all are great!

LOL If you blast them with current they hold on even tighter. They hold on through tidal waves and hurricane rip tides.

LOL!!! X-Dave, that makes perfect sense! No wonder I couldent get him off that damn rock.
Oh well, he has moved since I put him in the bigger tank, but he still hasent moved off the rock.
Thanks for that info. I will most likely reffer to it later on if I need to move him.
Thanks!

Blasting a PH at them is recommended on here by Thomas all the time. Mine moved that way, and others have done it as well. What you said makes sense though, but pointing a PH at it worked for me.

You can fill a bag w/ice water and hold it around his foot.

That was the problem with it then, I couldent get to his foot because he was in a hole.
I got him where I want him now. It think it's gonna be ok.
Thanks!
