definently a bristle worm... i love em... some people dont like them and try to remove them (DONT GRAB IT BARE HANDED) others (like me) think they are benificial... I have several that size and bigger and wish i had more!

If you want to get rid of them, cut back on feedings and make sure no uneaten food makes it past your livestock. This helps to starve them out and cut their numbers. If you do get stuck by one, put your affected parts in a glass of vinegar. Their bristles are carbonate-based and the vinegar will disolve them.

cool i have had the tank set up for 2 mo now and have seen no hitchhikers till today. I thought there were three but i,ve seen a lot more

ya it can take A WHILE for the hitch hikers to venture out of the rock..
PS it looks like your rock has some serious algae on it... do you have any other members of a clean up crew? A few hermits should eat that algae right up like ***)
