Well, today I was at a gun range today and I was able to shoot from a 50. caliber rifle!! I have pictures too! The recoil is SOOOOO freakin strong!!! The owner of the 50. caliber rifle said he had a cheap scope(around $700) and the scope was BRAND NEW, he said he put on the $700 scope and he said the recoil is so strong that it broke the glass in the scope!! So, he had to buy a new scope(very high quality scope which costs $1,700!!). Here are a few pictures!!
First picture is just the 50. caliber rifle. The second scope is me shooting the 50. caliber rifle. The third picture is a shell which he let me keep as a souvenir. He said that if the tip of the 50. caliber rifle(I circled it in red) wasn't there, it can easily dislocate your shoulder. That tip makes the 50. caliber rifle have less recoil. EACH bullet costs $5!!!

Kicks alot harder or about the same as a 3.5inch slug out of a 10gauge shotgun?
The reason I asked is because shooting the above REALLY left a bruise...

I've been able to shoot one before too at boyscouts. It's pretty awesome. I don't understand why they let us shoot these, but we aren't allowed to shoot handguns???(We do anyway). So was this trip for any sort of organization, or just because you like guns?

We just went to shoot our own guns. Then, when we got there, there were 2 guys with 50. caliber rifles. I asked one of the guys if I can shoot the 50. cal and he said sure.

Very cool! I actually just got back from the range a little while ago. My wife and I met up with a friend of mine and his girlfriend. We spent 2 hours shooting their AR-15's. LOTS of fun!

I've never shot a 10gauge shotgun. So I'm not sure.

I know a site that sells 50. caliber guns ranging from $2,700 to about $5,700. I'm not sure where the guy got his tho.
