My new 200 has been up and running for 10 days now. When set up we used new water, some new sand and alot of established sand, some new LR and I've been adding LR from my current tank (125). What has happened today is, looks like a little diatom bloom.....I'm assuming this is to be expected. I don't remember when I set up the 125 gallon 5 years ago if it happened then also or not. Am not running the protein skimmer yet, that's going to get hooked into the system on tuesday. So, my question is: the diatom bloom is normal?
