Do those bigmacs call out to you? You won't find happinness at the drive thru window. You need some help. An intervention may be in order.

Man I hadn't been at Micky D's in forever, probably a couple of years. Then you had to go say something, (there is a micky d's literally on the corner next to my apartment, I could throw a rock and hit it.) What I really used to like was their dollar menu chicken sandwhich but in houston it is a spicy chicken sandwhich and I don't like it as much as the normal chicken sandwich. But yeah, I'm hearing the call of the big mack.

i know what your talking about with fast food forming bad habits. im a 5'11" 15 year old athlete (hence the name) that weighs 128lbs, really fast metabolism. so if i dont want to collapse during a race, i have to spend most of my waking time eating something, and that gets pretty annoying. then i started to eat fast foods so i wouldnt always have to be eating. remember, im 15 and average about 3 hours of

[hr]
exercise a day. the fast food was making me race worse, despite my exercise. even if you exercise, it will still worsen you blood chemistry. btw, im now still eating around 4.5k calories a day, but i know that it wont form any bad habits when my metabolism (hopefully) slows down. point is, the fast food will mess with you and it will get addictive. you can still have it on occasion, just not regularly.

gotta tell ya, i was a fast food junkie!!! of course after high school and i stopped all activity i quickly learned the negative affects of eating that garbage all the time. and believe me, i know how difficult it is when it's so easy. i had to do it cold turkey because thats the only way i can control myself in any aspect. i've finally begun getting my college weight off and can't even stand the SMELL of mcdonald's anymore. i will eat wendy's occasionally but that's about it.
quite frankly, if you REALLY want to quit eating it, you will. it's just a matter of will power. i found, however, chewing a piece of a really strong minty gum when i know i'm in an area that has one of my weak foods it keeps me from eating it because, obviously, the mint would ruin any taste you put in your mouth after it.
therefore, my suggestion is to simply chew a piece of strong gum when you leave. something you know will take away from the taste satisfaction
also, if you go to www.dailyplate.com they have the calorie counts for just about every restaurant out there (at least mainstream). looking at calories and fat grams in most of those places was more than enough to turn me away!!

I have not eaten at McDonald's since sept 11th in New York. I read an article about them not being supportive or something and I banned them from my daily routine and never looked back. My friends daughter works there and I go and pick her up sometimes from work and the smell makes me physically sick. I do not go inside anymore.
When I was a kid I used to live in Kc mo and would frequent metro north mall. They had a pizza shop in there and a manager named nick. I worked there for a week over x-mas one year as we were buddies and he needed the extra help. I walked into the back and saw the sauce in a trash can no big deal right as it was a clean can. Then one of the kids walked out and urinated in it took a wood handle thing and stirred it up. I was sickened as I had been eating there for a couple years. I now do not go anywhere without being able to see them prepare my food. I ask for clean gloves if I see them scratch I ask them to change the gloves. I have been asked to leave several places but I will not ever fear someone is blowing snot in my burger or anything else.
Oh ya was riding with my partner on patrol and went thru a Mcd's and the girl who made our big macs tossed a Burger in them that was back in 89...
Go Go fast food.

i had a coupon for a free southern chicken sandwich they are hyping up, so i said, what the heck.
OMG nasty as all heck!!
the pictures show a nice, big, golden slab of chicken...it was smaller than a hockey puck, and brown like dirt (obviously overcooked).
the thing had pickles (on chicken?!?!?!) and some type of honey sauce.
now, i'm sure there are kids somewhere in africa that would have loved to eat that sandwich (probably not though...) but i am sure glad it was free--i took one bite and threw it out.
sub-way $5 deal, you can't beat that (and lunch is served for tomorrow :) )

I fell off the wagon this morning. The conditions were ideal for a drive thrue run... had several places to run to this morning, got out of my first early enough for breakfast (mmmm breakfast burrito), and was a bit hungry. I had to do it but this was my first McD's since last Thursday so I think I'm still on the road to recovery. A relapse once a week or so is OK, isn't it?

It's called the glycemic index, foods that enter the blood stream slowly have lower GIs. Google it.
Yeah, I think I understood the concept before I even learned that it was called GI. I'm not sure if I trust it though. My pasta boxes on the side says... "It's a good for you carb! Has a low GI!" (Mueller's) I think they lie since every book I find about it says that pasta is among the highest there is, lol.
I do love the chart though.
