Yesterday I finished the canopy for it and today I went out and got 3 pounds of LR and sand. Filled it up and it looks nice. I am using a 13 watt PC bookworm worklight mounted inside of my hood and a whisper HOB filter. If anyone knows how to dial back the pump I wold like to know. So far I am running heaterless in the hopes that I will be able to sustain a temp aroun 76-78 degrees with just the light. This will be a ricordea only tank so once it cycles I will start to add.:)
Here is a pic of the tank on my desk.

Here is the light inside of my hood. I have ordered a 13 watt 50/50 bulb to replace the one that comes in the light.

I have heard and read stories where aquaria in very close proximity to computers (less than 1m) kill fish. Is there any truth to this or is it myth?

Are you gonna keep the lights on all day and night, because if you are not, wont the tempature go down at night when the light goes out?

Looks good. I think you should make a small base to match the dimensions of the canopy. Just an idea. With such a nice lid, the plastic edge on the bottom looks like it needs help.

I have a base for it started and may finish when i feel like it. For now I am happy with the way it is.
As far as the temp goes, it got up to 78 before the lights went off last night and was down to 76 when I checked it this morning. So I think I may be able to get by without a heater. A 2 degree change probably won't be a big deal.
Lights are on from 12 to 10.
