i started over, what a mistake

i came home one day to see my mother tearing down my tank. she was sick of the algae. now its back. brown, green, the coralline on the rocks are being smothered with algae. why me! suggestions? will a uv work? - please help before i go insane! whats a girl to do?

what are your water peramiters? are your phosphates high? is so try some phosguard, it should halp it start to clear in about 5-7 days. My phosphates got a little high for some reason (still unknown) and this seemed to help, also scrape the tank daily if you can. you may be able to scrub some of the algea off the live rock with a really soft toothbrush, it didn't seem to hurt mine.

I agree test your phosphates and make sure your not over feeding. How long do you run your lights? Try to keep your glass clean with a scrubber or something. Tell your mom to chill out a little.
