I found one it is 2 175watt 10k and 21 110VHO and 2 fans that are T-1 super quiet ball bearing cooling fan. All for $653. That I throught was very nice deal. Are the fans good? Hows the price? 
I think I found a complete hood system!

How much difference would it be if I got rid of the VHO and replaced it with standured 40 watt fl?

Have you looked at the aquarium section on ----? Go there and then search for metal halide. You will find a lot for sale, retrofits and full hoods. Also if you look at many of them, you will find links to other models that those vendors sell without the auction. If you are careful who you buy from, you will do well for your money. Good luck.

I think its a pretty good deal. I have recently ordered stuff for a diy MH canopy, and yes it wil be cheaper but not way cheaper (this is assuming bulbs come with the canopy you found). I looked on ---- for a while but i really don't think its a good place to buy from. Just about all the stuff you can get on ---- you can find just as cheap (sometimes cheaper) at marine depot.
