As you may or may not know I have been batteling some tough algae. Red hair on my sand and rocks, and brown on my glass. Well today I was scrubbing it off once again and decided to blow off my rocks with a oh. Holy crap there was a bunch of stuff IN my rocks if I hold a ph right up to a hole in the rock it would blow this cloudy particle filled crap out everywhere. So do you think this could be why I had a algae problem? Also when I tested my levels my amn was high like 1.2 so I did a water change to bring it down. It's reading 0 again. would high amn cause algae? This stuff is probally from when I got my rock it was uncured and once it cycled I never blew it off. Could this be from the die off that was never taken care of properly? I feel so dumb for not blowing off my rocks.
