I Think I made a Big Mistake

I have a bad feeling I made a mistake. I had some bubble algae coming up and I let my LFS talk me into 2 Emerald Crabs. They were cheap and I bought them. After the 3rd day in the tank, the bubble algae was gone and I kept thinking to myself, wow this is great, but now I'm noticing when I feed those claws they have come out around my clowns and it's worrying me that my fish are going to get hurt. What experiences do you have with Emerald Crabs? Should I get them out of there? They are both about as big as a quarter and I have a 28 g tank. I'm just not sure about them at all. I've been spot feeding them bits of shrimp in the hopes that it helps but I'm very unsure. Help?!

I've never had problems with them either. They were most likely just trying to defend their territory, not eat a fish. Lol

I have three in my 65 - they only do this when a fish comes close - they are only protecting themselves, never had one go after a fish.

Yep, they are defending themselves, their territories, and their food from fish.... they aren't trying to make lunch outta them!

The emerald crabs are safe. They may try and pinch a fish, but fish are too quick.

Ever watched "Finding Nemo?"
I'm not a crab fan, but they're fine, just trying to defend themselves.

I have 2 emeralds in my 47, and I love them. They are sooo funny to watch. The first one I got is about 2.5" and the second one is about 2". One a bright emerald color, the other a deep hunter green.

Thanks - I guess I'll just keep watching and make sure no damage is done. They are cute as they can be.

Ice pick and matches are the only way to get Rid of them!

So tonight i am looking in my tank and guess what is clamped on my huge leather coral having supper, that right Mr Emerald himself, swiftly got the net out and banished in to the fuge, bad boy.
