6 years! 6 years now, I have a spontaniously bleeding eye! Gross huh?
I checked the net! I checked with every doc I see, and not only is it not common, it's apperantly never happened!

The whole thing from start to finish lasts 30 seconds or so. In my sleep, while working, standing sitting, it doesn't matter my eye will just start pouring blood and of course there is neve a camera aound when it happens.
I have also woken up to pools of blood on my pillow.
I think whoever can find a cause/ explanation, will be famous, and their articles will be published.
The first time it happened, I was pregnant. That that was the cause, but it happens about once ever 3 months or so.
my bp ranges from 98 over 62 to as high as 110 over 62.
No drugs... I swear. I don't stress.

Oh, no pain at all, just temporary blindness in the eye. Everything turns white, not black.
These 2 pics are seconds from each other and of course, they are as it's about to end...


Not a big deal I know, but I managed to catch a shot of one only a few seconds in...
My eye tickled, so I wiped it, and noticed the blood. Getting a shot was hurried cause as I said, it goes away so fast.

I just noticed... with no flash, my eyeballs are blue, lol.

So I guess I'm not lying when I tell people my eye color is blue green gray.

You should see it in real life! The first time it happened, by brother, stumbling over his words says, what's wrong with your eye? I went to look in the mirror and at first he wouldn't let me. Then he says, "Just know, before you look, that it's freaky!"
I looked and was shocked as ---!
The last one was only a couple days ago!

And I would call your eye colour Teal.... the are amazing and original.
It's all about the lighting and what I wear. If I wear blue, they look green and vise versa.
My daughter's eyes are baby blue, while my son's are green green.
But thanks for the compliment.
I'm wondering if an MRI is needed here.

Wowza that is strange!!! What has your doctor said so far?
Your bp is low, how about your hemoglobin? I'd almost say that you probably have a fairly thin blood.

WEll spidey, they don't believe me. One doc says, "It's normal for capillaries in your eyes to burst while your pregnant", but he also said that that would only cause a drop or 2 of blood, never a pool on the pillow.
They look at me like I'm crazy, and I know they don't believe what I'm telling them.
That's why I've been so persistant in getting a pic. Even in this pic, if I had wiped off what's on my face, there'd be no remains of any blood anywhere. It happens so fast!
Hemoglobin... gotta ask about that, but when I get cuts the blood stops pretty quick.
Hubby thinks something is whong with my brain.
But I'm afraid if they try to fix it they will take away all the geniusness that I possess....

Whoa cranberry! I'm gonna print that and trouble shoot with a doc.
Vitimin K...who da thunk... Could be that.
Could be some of the other stuff that I have no idea what it means, lol.
My liver BETTER be working!
Interesting! I even asked the opth. on web md and even HE said this just doesn't happen. Course, you can't post pics there.

Maybe you're actually a mutant horned-lizard hybrid? Is it your defense mechanism to shoot blood from your eyes? If so, that's very clever.

Srsly tho, that's really different. I'm glad it doesn't hurt you!!

IMO there's nothing funny about it tizz. you need to find out the cause. do you ever feel pressure behind the eye before this happens?

Yeah Darth it's cool. No matter what "issue" my brother has at the moment for pity, I always come back at him by pointing at my eye and saying, "Bleeding eye, remember"?
No pressure big. Just feels like a goopy eye booger in my eye.

Tizz.... have you ever been tested for Sjogren's Syndrome? Its a rare genetic disease - a friend of mine had a very similar symptom and was recently diagnosed.

Keri, you are so bad.....

I was gonna bring up the whole Horny Toad thing this morning, but didn't want to catch no flack.
BTW, Tizzo didn't photoshop those eyes...that's really how Blue they are. I allways thought they were contacts.
