ok after much debate i think im gonna get some LR
first does live LR need any special lighting requirements i have one flourescent and one half flourescent half actinic 03 blue is this enough?
as for a protein skimmer im going to get a
35$ in tank skimmer off the internet i have done some research and decided this should be enough
now my final ? on LR is it safe to add LR(cured) while a tank is still cycling my tank has not started cycling but i plan on adding some grocery store shrimp tommorrow
also i know i sound stupid but shoul your filter be running if there is nothing in the tank except 45lbs LS? since my tank has not started cycling i dont think so but i just wanna make sure

The second you put a drop of water in your tank it started cycling. The shrimp just helps speed the nitrate cycle. Yes put the live rock in. IMO it will only help the cycle. You will have some of the stuff die off but it will come back. Also if you have a little patience you can buy uncured rock and save $2 a lb. this will add a few weeks to your cycle but should save you money. welcome to your new addiction. :D

Good choice!
with lr, and fish that should be sufficient lighting, but when and if you add coral later on, you will want to add more(probably), the good news is that should be months away
if you add cured(especially if it is locally bought and cured) to a tank which is not done cycling, it will probably speed up your cycle, which is not a bad thing, but it is more expensive to purchase, if you do it after your cycle, it will cure and actually start a new spike in your system if you add uncured later, just don't do this after you start adding livestock
nothing asked before a problem, EVER sounds stupid here EVER, just keep asking, if you are not sure, that is smart to get your anwers before you really GOOF
n.e.how, running your filter, IMO will definitely help with circulation, and also will remove some of the garbage, which you will have, at the same time
another note, IMO don't forget ot feed your rock too, at least until you have a good ecosystem going, you'd be surpprised what is alive on it theat you can't see(yet), maybe feather dusters or corals or sponges(and that is just to name a few that can become visible), you never know

IMO means in my opinon. Definately run your filter while you cycle your tank, as this will help to pull all of the dead crap out of your water that you introduced with your live rock. Also this is the only way that you can begin to culture the beneficial bacteria that will reside in your filter and break down nitrates, nitrites, and ammonia. They key to cycling a tank is time. Dont rush anything. Be patient and you will be amazed with the results! Good Luck!
