WHAT FILTERS REEF TANKS , WHAT FILTERS A MARINE FISH TANK .
personaly I have a new reef tank with some clowns , drawf angel , aqua c skimmer 90 gal glass, sump 20 gal.
I also got alot of advise from many people and read alot of threads, from that I draw my own opinions .

This is a very broad question. Generally filters do the filtering, they come in all types. You can also use live rock and live sand to do the biological filtering. You can use any filter on any tank some just work better than others. Hmm i think you have the definition of a reef tank confused. A reef tank can have fish in it and most do. A reef tank generally has invertebrates, most reef tanks are made up of corals. I think by marine fish tank you mean fish only tanks.

In my opinion the day you place a coral in your tank it is then deamed a reef tank. That is the main difference. Other then that the differences would be the lighting and the things you plan on keeping. I wish I could elaborate more, but my buddy is standing over my shoulder with a bottle of Jim telling me we have to go out. If no one else elaborates then I will add more upon my hopefully late return.
