I think my clownfish is pregnant

How can i tell if my clownfish is pregnant or not. They seem to just be swimming around one spot and twitching alot. Also pecking at a certain spot to clean it. The female is about 2 inches and the male 1 inch. The female i noticed seemed to grow a belly over the past few days and if you look through the scales its a dark green/ black color. When it comes to feeding time it pigs out and eats soo much. Is my clown pregant? :notsure:
If so how long does it take to lay the eggs and what can i do to try and raise the fry? Should i put them in a QT tank now or wait till the eggs are hatched then more them into the QT tank? :help:

IMO I believe they are a little bit too small to lay eggs.

u need to get a tank to put the fry in! but if they breed in ur regular tank they will get eaten. so get a breeder tank if u can about a 20g and when the eggs are born put them into the tank were u r going to keep the fry. as for food feed them rotifiers and then baby brine then flake food i recomend u get the book (CLOWNFISHES) its very helpfull.

not yet..tried it twice. Got the book on Clownfishes by Joyce *.*. Wish that i would have got it sooner. First time I missed the hatch. Second time around was able to catch the fry and put them into a rear tank, but needed to get live rotifers, which i did not have so they died. Now they are ready to spawn again and I have everything that I need...good luck

What color are the eggs when they come out? I once thought my clownfish was pregnant but I never saw any eggs. I always assumed it wasn't, but surely, they could have been dinner.
