I'am really confused

[full of questions]

I have a hammer coral,that i've had for 9 months everything was
great,until yesterday i seen that there is a spot about the
size of a dime on it that is not opening and has what looks
like a spider web growing around it,in just this one spot.
I went to my LFS today,they have no clue as to what it might
be,so can anyone here help?Thank-You.
